Welcome to Safe2Send (safe2send.cc), operated by Safe2Send ("we", "us", "our", or "the Service"). By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Operator & Contact Information
The Service is owned and operated by:
2. Nature of the Service & Technical Transparency
Safe2Send provides a peer-to-peer (P2P) file transfer bridge utilizing WebRTC technology. The Service hosts signaling infrastructure to help users establish direct connections with each other.
- No File Hosting: Files sent via Safe2Send are transmitted directly between peers (client-to-client). Files do NOT pass through, process on, or store on our servers.
- Code Transparency: The front-end client code is provided transparently for inspection so users can verify how connections are established. However, this source visibility does NOT constitute an open-source license, and no open-source rights, warranties, or software obligations are implied.
- Room Links & Passwords: Rooms are represented by unique URLs (similar to unlisted links). Room creators can set optional passwords. Room credentials are temporary and ephemeral; once a room is closed, its data is permanently discarded.
- Strictly 1-to-1: Each room accepts exactly one sender and one receiver at a time. Once a receiver has joined a room, no additional peers can join until that receiver leaves. If you need to send the same file to multiple people, create a separate room for each recipient.
- Connection Visibility: Because connections are peer-to-peer, connected users (sender and receiver) can mutually see networking connection information (such as IP addresses) necessary to establish the WebRTC channel.
3. Service Availability & Performance
- As-Is Basis: Safe2Send is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
- Connection Failure: WebRTC relies on UDP hole punching and NAT traversal. Due to strict network environments, corporate firewalls, or NAT types, connection attempts may fail or prove unstable. We do not guarantee connection success, transfer speed, or continuous availability.
4. Security & File Safety Disclaimer
- Use at Your Own Risk: We do NOT guarantee the security, integrity, confidentiality, or safety of files transmitted through Safe2Send.
- User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for verifying the identity of the party you are connecting with and ensuring the files you send or receive do not contain malicious code, malware, or illegal content.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Safe2Send to:
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.
- Distribute malware, viruses, trojans, or harmful payloads.
- Transmit illegal material or infringe upon third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Safe2Send shall NOT be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, security breaches, or failed transmissions.
Note: Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so under applicable mandatory laws (such as liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct).
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
8. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, then that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms and shall NOT affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. You agree that the courts of Hong Kong shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these Terms.
